Your little girl goes around the house pretending that she is a princess and she has a hard task of running the princess. As a parent you can create this fantasy in her room with a princess themed room.
Begin by choosing the right colors for her walls. When you think princess, normally pink is what comes to mind. Begin with your palette of pink and ask her which shade she prefers. Now for the bedding; you want to go with a princess theme for both the bed and the windows. You can find a lot of Disney princess decor for her room but these are very expensive. If you are on a budget then you can make the curtains yourself. Find a princess fabric and be creative with lace and rhinestone. Give the window an extra sparkle.
The next thing to do is to find an area rug in a princess theme. There are just about any design rug you would want out there so take your time and search through it all. The rug can be of her favorite princess or it can be a deer standing in the grass or in the woods. She can use the rug to sit on while she has a tea party with Alice in Wonderland.
Personalize the room for your little princess by adding framed posters of her favorite Disney characters onto her walls. Additional accessories you may use to accent the room may include wands, magic slippers and tiaras.
Dolls are an important part of her imagination. You can display a variety of dolls in her room but make sure to include her favorite princess characters. You can purchase fairy tale books and place colorful covers on them to sit around her room. Line the shelves to top the look.
She will need a princess bed. You may want to consider a castle bed for her fortress. Have her bed customized with towers for storage. Or you can choose a bunk bed set and make her bed on top and a play area on the bottom.
