About Cinderella
The Cinderella story itself dates back to the first century BC. Recorded by Greek Historian Strabo, the story is about an Egyptian girl who is forced to wash clothes while her fellow servants attend a gathering organized by the Pharaoh. An eagle takes her rose gilded sandal and drops it at the feet of the Pharaoh. The Pharaoh in turn searches the kingdom to find the owner of the sandal. Pharaoh finds her and they fall in love.
